What a fantastic night we have just had with our quiz. Firstly we would like to thank Eileen Wood for making up this quiz and sorry that she couldn’t be with us to see the faces of the winning and losing teams, we all wish you a speedy recovery and hope to see you at church and pilots as soon as you are well.
10 teams took part in the quiz which consisted of 9 rounds and covered all subjects. The overall winners were ‘Parsons knows’ which consisted of Rev. Steven Manders, Dianne Walker and Lesley and John Brown. Congratulations on gaining 81 points.
Sadly the ‘go-go girls’ found themselves at the bottom of the leader board and had declared that they had left the building and gone home in round 6!!!!!
I hope that everyone that attended tonight had a great time and thank you from all at pilots for raising over £200 for our trip in May to Warwick Castle.

I am bringing a group to this wonderful event but am concerned how many other ‘non pilot’ groups will be there. I understood the event to be ‘almost entirely exclusive’ and yet Warwick Castle are taking group bookings for this day. I am concerned that some of our children may be upset by large groups of other children. I hope I am wrong but can we consider a more exclusive venue in the future.

Patricia, thanks for your comments on our blog site. Our Pilots Captain who is also the RPO for Scotland has said that as far as he is aware Longleat was very similar in that Pilots did not have exclusive use of the facilities and there were no apparant problems with this. Maybe you could email your concerns to the Pilots Desk at pilots@urc.org.uk if you need more info.
