It has been almost a year since our last post here on the URC youth blog.  Sorry to those of you who have been on looking for some more news. Our trip to Warwick Castle last year was a wonderful time and the youth really enjoyed themselves. We also had a fabulous time at our holiday club in July. Our older group are getting ready for a coffee morning and sleepover soon then onto Synod soon where we will hopefully get news and pictures of what they did there once they come back.

Thanks again for those of you who have taken the time to check the blog, remember your comments and suggestions are always greatly received.

Jesus Christ is Risen Today.

A cold and slightly damp 6.30am start did not discourage the 4 youth and the many young at heart from celebrating Easter morning on the beach in Nairn today.  After a lovely service with lots of great hymns we returned back to the Church hall for breakfast.  Thankyou to Angela and Harriet and the team for supplying a fantastic feast ~ as they do every year.  Comments of your experience from those who attended today would be great

Happy Easter

All the Youth Leaders at Nairn URC would like to wish everyone a very happy Easter.  Hopefully we’ll see some of you on the beach at 6.30am on Sunday Morning before going back to the church for breakfast.  Photos to follow.

Pilots to Warwick Castle Quiz

What a fantastic night we have just had with our quiz.  Firstly we would like to thank Eileen Wood for making up this quiz and sorry that she couldn’t be with us to see the faces of the winning and losing teams, we all wish you a speedy recovery and hope to see you at church and pilots as soon as you are well.

10 teams took part in the quiz which consisted of 9 rounds and covered all subjects.  The overall winners were ‘Parsons knows’ which consisted of Rev. Steven Manders, Dianne Walker and Lesley and John Brown.  Congratulations on gaining 81 points.

Sadly the ‘go-go girls’ found themselves at the bottom of the leader board and had declared that they had left the building and gone home in round 6!!!!!

I hope that everyone that attended tonight had a great time and thank you from all at pilots for raising over £200 for our trip in May to Warwick Castle.

Watch this space for news on the road then.

Date for your diary

On April 7th 2010 Nairn URC will be  holding an activity day.  This time we will be looking at  disciples of Jesus.  Look out for the notices coming home from Junior Church and Pilots in the next week for more information on how to book your space.  Looking forward to seeing you all there again.
